Business Development Manager

We are a successful, rapidly growing award winning company, seeking experienced and motivated Business Development Managers to sell our exciting online software products, websites, Internet marketing and fundraising tools into the charity sector.

The Role:

You will be building your business by interacting with influential decision makers at UK charities on the phone, building relationships with them, understanding their needs and creating bespoke software packages.

Key Responsibilities:

To identify and develop new contacts, whilst creating and maintaining relationships with key individuals in organisations in target markets. These relationships will be an essential route to generating new opportunities.

To work creatively with potential new prospects and internal staff to identify propositions that will meet client needs. The Business Development Manager will be given the full technical assistance of senior management in identifying appropriate software solutions.

To ensure a smooth handover to the technical team at an appropriate point, then take a supportive back-seat in order to ensure all of the clients needs are met.

Essential Skills:

- A proven track record in professional software services sales from first contact through to closure
- A strong understanding and passion for websites and digital tools and the ability to build up an in-depth knowledge of the company's technical capabilities, deliverables, operations, procedures, and customer base promptly
- Experience in new business technology based sales
- Commercial awareness and entrepreneurial flair; identifying opportunities and potential risk areas quickly
- Strong negotiation skills with an ability to remove barriers to purchase
- Commitment to achieving targets
- Good personal organisation and focus
- High level of written and verbal communication skills - produces and delivers appropriate well-structured presentations and proposals
- Ability to work on own initiative

£30,000 Basic salary pa
Achievable OTE: £30,000 - £45,000 + pa
