This represents a great opportunity for an experienced programme manager to develop their skills in cross-sector partnership and see the impact of their work first-hand.

Business in the Community is currently seeking an exceptional individual to join the building better opportunities partnership in Sheffield. This project is jointly funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund and will run until December 2018. The project is an integrated, person-centred employment service for people with physical and mental health conditions, learning disabilities and complex needs. It’s based on Individual Placement Support, a “place then train” approach that’s shown to be twice as effective as traditional approaches. We are currently looking for an Employment Programme Manager to run the day to day project management including running work readiness activities, recruiting business volunteers and developing a work experience programme working alongside a Health and Wellbeing Coach. This role will be responsible for working with people facing multiple barriers and supporting them into employment as well as engaging and supporting effective relationships with community and voluntary sector organisations. You will have experience of successfully managing employability/training programmes working with people with significant barriers to employment, the ability to develop cross-sector partnerships and a passion for making a difference to people’s futures.
