Historically our technical leads have reported directly to our head of development. With a lot of team growth projected over the next few months we now need to change our structure.This is where you come in.The Delivery Manager reports to the Head of Development and is a new senior role with line management responsibilities for several Scrum teams, acting as an Agile coach. You'll be acting as a key bridge between our teams and head of development.

Implementing best practise Agile principles to encourage collaborative, team orientated delivery of a range of projects.Being a leader of technology staff; line managing a group of Technical Leads and Engineers. Contributing to the Technology strategy and architecture by suggesting new technologies, techniques and solutions.Responsible for hiring new staff and resolving any issues in the team. Implementing best practise management principles to appraise, review and develop staff in building a world-class engineering department.The responsibilities of the role include:Technology OwnershipAccept responsibility for technical delivery of productsAccept responsibility for the quality of delivered productsSit on the Architecture board in which you will expected to:Provide insight and ideas into the adoption of new technologies/processes/solutionsRepresent the technical challenges of the project team you are leadingPropagate the decisions made by the Architecture board to your teamLeadership Participate in recruitment processes by interviewing candidates for technical positionsWork alongside other members of the leadership team to create an culture built of trust and freedomCoach and mentor less experienced members of your teamBe responsible for individual performance measurement and career progression plansKeep abreast of industry trends and advancements and communicate those with your teamBest PracticesEngineering best practices are encouraged and maintained including, but not limited to:Test-first designPair programming + code reviewsContinuous integrationSecure developmentSOLID principles and design patterns
