Location: Gatwick, Crawley
Salary: £9.50 per hour

An opportunity has arisen in the Warehouse & Materials Control Department at our Gatwick British Airways unit for Warehouse Operatives.

The main duties of the role will be to:

• Take delivery of all goods and ensure they are checked for correct weight, quantity, quality and temperature
• Ensure stock is stored and rotated correctly
• Issuing of goods to other departments through the day
• Maintaining clear and accurate due diligence records of goods that have been issued
• Ensure the stores area is kept clean and tidy
• Carry out stock checks as and when required
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Knowledge of basic food handling, manual handling and knowledge of airline security procedures is desirable
• Flexible approach
• Ability to work under own initiative
• The ability to communicate clearly with both internal and external customers at all levels.
• Basic computer knowledge is essential as the role will include the use of some in-house or customer computer packages for the receipt and issuing of stock

A pre-requisite for this role would be for the candidate to successfully complete and pass training in Reach and Counter Balance.

You will be part of the team that ensures the smooth running of the warehouse working a shift pattern covering 0500 hours to 2100 hours, five days per week including weekends and Bank Holidays.
