We are currently looking for a Weight Attribute Leader to work for a major Automotive organisation based in Warwickshire, West Midlands

Job Title: Weight Attribute Leader
Experience: Whole vehicle engineering
Location: Warwickshire, West Midlands
Rate: From GBP20.00 to GBP23.71 per hour Ltd Co.
Hours: 40 per week
The Role:
*Sustainability Attributes is a multi-discipline function containing the sub attributes of Weights and Environment, operating as part of Vehicle Engineering and Attributes (VEA)
*Weight Engineering has a critical role in the company's regulatory obligations for tailpipe CO2, GHG and customer driven attributes
*An excellent opportunity exists to learn about attribute management through the subject of Mass Properties
*As a Weight Attribute Leader within Weight Engineering, this represents an ideal opportunity to guide and influence the business in delivering all carlines to achieve a highly competitive offering to our customers
*This role is pivotal in helping the company deliver its corporate compliance CO2 targets as we move towards 2020
*Being involved from initial target setting (pre-PS) right through to validation at VP and production capability, the wide scope of this role means that there is opportunity to interact with many areas of the business
*Additionally, exposure to the wider engineering teams as it encompasses the whole vehicle and it also provides the opportunity for interaction with all levels of the business including senior management
*The department has a proven track record for professional development and career progression, through the technical development of the attribute and leadership skills and visibility gained as a result of building relationships up to Director level
Key Responsibilities:
*Candidates will be required to lead, manage and champion Weight and Mass Properties target development and delivery for multiple programmes and different model years
*Prioritise workload for yourself and your immediate team and lead the programme support team where applicable
*Negotiate cross functional and attribute target trading and balancing for Weight with VEM, CPD, VPD and Engineering Director(s)
*Review vehicle level benchmarking output for attribute featuring and target setting
*Lead issue resolution and status report out up to Engineering Director at Engineering Tech issues reviews
*Co-ordinate and chair Design Efficiency Reviews, using teardown data, with engineering functions
*Ensure consistent and accurate data reporting to the business
*Loading Charts, Parametric models, etc.
*Liaise with International Engineering teams to ensure robust delivery of Weights for products built off shore
*Take responsibility for producing programme metrics e.g. RMDV, Panel charts, Tech Data Sheets
*Conduct certification of masses and dimensions Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) with the VCA
*Attend Engineering meetings, VIT, COC weight Reviews, Virtual Series Meetings ?? Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time
Skills Required:

- Strong leadership and project management skills with ability to prioritise own and others time and work load
2.Deliver under pressure and challenging deadlines
- Good presentation and communication skills
Experience Required:
*Relevant degree or equivalent experience
Experience Preferred:
*Whole vehicle engineering knowledge & cross functional experience
*Self-motivated, uses initiative and problem solver
*Focused on delivering results
*Able to deliver quality and consistency in a complex, highly demanding environment
Additional Information:
*Travel may be required to other Engineering and Manufacturing sites
*40 hours per week with 3.30pm finish on Fridays
