Position: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire (commutable from Northampton, Kettering, Wellingborough, Oakham, Stamford, Peterborough, Leicester and surrounding areas)
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 42 hours per week
Salary: GBP36k per annum

About the role:

Food Utopia are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to assist the Engineering Team Leaders in managing the engineering workload to ensure optimum engineering performance. Ensure that engineering tasks are completed by adherence to Health and Safety, Environmental, Food Utopia Regulations and industry best practice.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure that engineering tasks are completed by adherence to Health & Safety, Environmental, Food Utopia Regulations and industry best practice.
- Actively promote a safety culture.
- Taking part in Engineering Health & Safety audits, Engineering Quality Audits. Maintaining Engineering archive records. Full compliance with Health and Safety regulations and site rules. Follow procedures as trained and delegated for contractor control.
- Completion & development of Planned Preventative Maintenance including paperwork.

Essential Skills / Experience:

- Relevant qualification in Mechanical/Electrical engineering
- Good IT Skills (MS Office, Scada, Manufacturing Systems etc.)
- Strong planning and organising ability (of own workload)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels within the business
- Excellent coaching and training skills
- Awareness of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation
- Able to work on your own and in a team environment

You may have experience of the following: Maintenance Engineer, FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Technician, FMCG Production, PPM, Planned Preventative Maintenance, Mechanical Technician, Electrical Technician etc.
