Job Title: Sales Executive

Location: Lostock Lane, Lostock, Bolton (near Tesco Horwich, Middlebrook Retail Park and Macron stadium)

Salary: £15,362 Basic Salary, £4,638 Performance related (easily achievable) bonuses (£20,000 OTE)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Mon to Fri: 9-5, Sat: 11-5 (5 day week)

You will not be required to work every Saturday, which is the busiest day for our Client's showroom. Saturdays are undertaken on a 3 on, 2 off rolling 5 week basis, with an additional day off between the Mon and Fri leading up to it.

Holidays: 23 per annum (plus bank holidays)

Duties:

This role works as part of a team covering all Sales, After Sales and certain Accounts functions. A structure splits the day to day workload across all members of the team and to ensure everyone has exposure to the different tasks and cross fertilisation of skills. You will be assigned a role each week from a 5 week rolling rota - across three main categories: SALES, AFTER SALES and PHONES/FRONT OF HOUSE (*note allocation of tasks under headings may be altered at any time).

Essential Knowledge / Attributes:

  • Excellent attention to detail and competency skills and ability to plan and organise your own workload.
  • You must be able to multi task and ensure you are in full control of closing all tasks assigned to you throughout the day. Sometimes you will be dealing with 3 or 4 different customers at the same time each wanting very different types and combinations of items.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in the English.
  • You will be compiling quotes and orders with lots of action points listed on them and drafting emails to customers, so your written skills must be clear. You will be speaking with customers nationally and must be able to converse in a professional telephone manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • You will meet many customers face to face and speak to many people over the phone, so your ability to deal with each customer with a fresh, positive attitude is key.
  • A very good standard of numeracy.
  • You will compile quotes for bespoke products which require good understanding of heat outputs, dimensions and sales margins. Procedures are supplied to help you carry out the task, but you will need inherent numeracy skills to complete such quotes.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and demonstrate initiative.
  • Team player who is flexible, reliable and honest.

Preferred Experience (not essential):

  • Knowledge of Exchequer financial software.
  • Customer service or sales trained and/or experienced.
  • Intermediate understanding of the Microsoft Office package.
  • Can type at a reasonable speed.
  • Qualified to GCSE or A Level/NVQ standard.
  • Internet user.
