We have a new exciting opportunity at Ashton Sixth Form College for IT Support Team Leader to join the team based in Ashton-under-Lyne. The successful candidates will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 36 hours per week and will receive a competitive salary of £26,940 - £29,470 per annum.

IT Support Team Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and self-motivated IT professional to join the IT & Learning Resources department which serves both the 16-19 and Higher Education and Skills provisions within the College. We are seeking a technically skilled and enthusiastic individual with a dedication to problem solving, customer service and team work who has experience of team supervision or management.

Key Responsibilities of our IT Support Team Leader

You will oversee the operational running of the IT support team and will lead on the development of the technical infrastructure. They will also work as part of the IT support team to provide technical support and advice to staff and students in line with the College’s IT Strategy and Service Level Agreement for the department. 

What we’re looking for in our IT Support Team Leader

- A degree or level 4 qualification, preferably in a related subject such as IT or computing

- Experience of working in an education setting, or similar customer focused environment

- Experience of supervising or managing an IT team

- Experience of the following IT activities: desktop & application support, server & network support, change control & documentation, projects & upgrades, business continuity, maintenance & security, user support & request management

- A flexible attitude and willingness to work early shifts (8.15am start), at least 1 late night per week (until 8.30pm) and occasional weekend work is required.
