Fundraising & Events Officer and Fundraising & Research Officer

Norfolk

Pay: £10.04 per hour

Hours: part time –  negotiable

Annual Leave: 33 days including all bank & public holidays (pro rata)

Job Description

To provide support to the Marketing and Fundraising Manager to achieve departmental predetermined annual targets for either restricted or unrestricted funding.

Main Responsibilities:

Fundraising & Events Officer

-          Work with the Fundraising and Marketing Manager to develop relationships with local businesses, churches, schools and community groups to raise profile and promote funding, sponsorship, volunteering and other forms of support

-          Research and procure specific corporate social responsibility initiatives

-          Create and support a calendar of events, conferences and exhibitions that meet the strategic objectives of the organisation and raise funds and awareness.

Fundraising & Research Officer

-          Research trusts and funding bodies and a wide range of possible income opportunities and provide detailed reports on recommended applications

-          Work with staff and young people to complete a range of funding applications to meet organisational needs

-          Assist with research, evaluation, proposals and administration on large-scale bids and tenders.

Essential

-          Interpersonal skills, sufficient to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with a wide range of staff and external contacts

-          Good written and verbal communication skills

-          Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills

-          Able to work flexibly and productively with minimum supervision

-          GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English

-          Supportive of the Christian Aims and Purposes of the YMCA

-          Enthusiastic, motivated, lively and engaging

-          High levels of honesty, integrity and discretion

-          Able and willing to work unsocial hours

-          Able to meet the requirements of the post with or without reasonable adjustment

-          An understanding of equality and diversity

Desirable

-          Competent in all Microsoft applications

-          Experience of the voluntary or not for profit sector

-          Experience of working to tight deadlines

-          Experience of event management

-          Experience of bid writing or making applications to receive funding

-          Hold a full clean driving licence and have own transport
