  • Birmingham Base with coverage for Staffordshire and West Midlands and Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottingham and Rutland
  • 37 hours per week

Service Excellence is a new team responsible for working collaboratively across Staffordshire and West Midlands Community Rehabilitation Company and Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottingham and Rutland Community Rehabilitation Company, helping embed the new CRC Operational Model “Our Plan to Change Lives” by providing professional support to Probation Teams by:

  1. Designing, defining and sharing the best way of doing things
  2. Ensuring we achieve consistent standards of excellence in delivery to Service Users
  3. Building on existing effective practice, encouraging innovation and ideas from staff, continuously improving and delivering the required performance.

All of this will be underpinned by a focus on implementing operational improvements that are informed by evidence of what works best in order to transform the lives of Service Users and reduce reoffending.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Product Design Specialist, working within the Service Excellence Team (SET). We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and efficient person with the ability to work effectively within a team. The interested candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of how business processes are reviewed and amended to improve service delivery.

The post holder will be responsible for managing and supporting large projects to identify improvements to processes to manage performance. This will entail responsibility for documenting detailed design and processes for all service delivery elements.

The candidate will need to have exceptional organisation and time management skills. Process mapping experience is desirable. Strong influencing skills at all levels of the organisation, as well as, the ability to work flexibly and creatively in a fast paced dynamic organisation is required.
