Competitive Salary / Day Rate
A principal contractor to Network Rail requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team based in the South West
Paramount to this role is a successful background within Rail Civils, and ideally NR and NEC3 forms of contract.
Whilst a permanent team member is ideal, a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor will be considered for an initial 6 months, with further extension likely.
Candidates with a background in rail focused M&E Quantity Surveying, will also be considered for additional opportunities.
As the successful candidate you will be proven in your ability to deliver the following tasks within rail focused civil engineering;
* Preparation and presentation of Monthly Cost/Value Reconciliations and Final Cost/Value Forecasts.
* Procurement, negotiation and placing of Sub-contract Orders.
* Commercial support to the Estimating and Procurement teams.
* Overview and support of Quantity Surveyors under training as appropriate.
* Preparation and Presentation of Final Accounts, including negotiation of all contractual entitlements.
* Management of the client with reporting and liaison on all commercial matters, including preparation and submission of supporting information.
