Our client has identified a superb opportunity for a Production Technician (In-plant) to join their hugely successful company. As the world’s largest producer of printing inks, pigments and functional coatings they are at the forefront of cutting edge technology.

The role

Working on a customer site in Newport, the successful candidate will be responsible for the onsite stock control of inks and colour matching to customers requirements, along with technical responsibilities and reporting analysis. You will be working on a day to day basis with customer partners to achieve optimum results and liaising with production and technical scientific teams about quality and formulation issues.

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Ideally qualified by proven previous experience in ink or printing technology.
• Have good colour matching skills and excellent colour vision.
• Good numeracy, literacy and verbal communication skills.
• Be able to work to tight deadlines, with experience of reporting on key issues and statistics to the customer and colleagues
• Working in a customer facing environment
• Some previous experience of operating or working with machinery

Suitable experience may include: Operations Technician, Maintenance Technician, In-plant Technician, Printing Technician, Ink Technician
