LOCATION: Luton, Bedfordshire
JOB TITLE: Home Support Worker
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP7.40 per hour (plus travelling time payment & expenses) - rising to GBP7.75 from 1st April 2017
WORKING HOURS: Service operates between Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm- minimum of 16 hours per week (more available)
THE ROLE: As a Home Support Worker you will be responsible for directly assisting older people with a variety of needs and problems. You will be responsible in visiting older people at their homes in and around the Luton area where you will help them with everyday tasks including cleaning, shopping and laundry.
Key Responsibilities for the Home Support Workers role in Luton, Bedfordshire include:
- Travel to and visit elderly residents in their homes throughout Luton
- Assist with everyday tasks such as cleaning & other household chores, shopping, and laundry
- Engage, interact and offer companionship to residents
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Home Support Workers role must be a naturally caring and compassionate and caring person who enjoys helping others. You will need to have a driving licence and use of your own vehicle and must be physically fit and someone who is able to carry out everyday household tasks.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Home Support Worker's role in Luton, Bedfordshire :-
- Must be a compassionate and caring person
- Must be physically fit and able to carry out general household tasks such as cleaning, laundry etc.
- Driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential
- Previous experience as a Support Worker or related job role would be desirable but is not essential
