We are currently looking for a Financial Controller to join our team. We are an event management company, established over 25 years, creating and producing national and international events.
Role;
- Be responsible for the smooth & efficient running of the Finance Department
- Lead & motivate staff to ensure accurate management accounts are completed & maintained
- Ensure regular compliance checks are carried out on expense claims & that targets are achieved
- Work closely with the Managing Directors keeping them updated regarding financial matters
Responsibilities;
- Manage the workload in the finance department ensuring that staff complete & maintain accounts systems in an accurate & timely way
- Maximise company cash-flow by ensuring that any outstanding amounts are collected quickly to achieve targets
- Ensure that all expense claims are managed within agreed time limits & to manage a system to ensure regular compliance checks are carried out
- Provide senior management with financial updates & reports as required
- Lead & motivate your team, implementing??& supporting personal development plans & training needs
- Work actively as part of a senior team representing the interests of the business
- Carry out any other duties commensurate with the nature of the post & which may be required from time to time
- To undertake such staff training & development
Performance Measures;
- Overall finance department performance including accurate & timely delivery of management accounts & completion of required financial returns
- Management ??? including team leadership and development Documentary evidence and observation ???communication review
- Cash-flow management - performance re targets for settlement/processing of sales and purchase invoices
- Compliance ??? system developed and undertaken to ensure regular monthly, random checks carried out on expense claims
- Service levels - Colleague feedback and observation, quality of information and clarity of advice
