A number of exciting opportunities are now available in their North East team:
Two Independent Living Co-ordinator posts - One permanent full time post covering Ashington, Bedlington and Blyth; and one permanent part time post (17.5 hours) covering Gateshead and Chester le Street, however a degree of flexibility around locations will be required.
Independent Living Co-ordinators are focussed on sheltered/retirement housing and have responsibility for allocations and lettings, arrears management and tenancy enforcement in a small number of sheltered housing schemes. Independent Living Co-ordinators are also responsible for Health and Safety checks and for promoting schemes to the wider community and potential tenants.
As a team in the north east, you will offer mutual support for marketing properties; and will work in partnership with their specialist colleagues, their administrative hub and with Astraline which provides telecare and flexible safety services.
Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will understand how to deliver outstanding customer service in a housing environment; and have empathy with the needs of older/vulnerable residents. With previous experience of a similar role, you will be comfortable working in a busy environment, where time management and organisational skills are vital. Working within professional boundaries and acting on own initiative, you will be willing to adopt new approaches and alternative ways of working in order to deliver a consistent level of service.
