Nimlok is a leading global exhibition stand design and build supplier. We offer a full range of exhibition services from bespoke design to onsite installation and dismantling. Our award winning teams are qualified, experienced and passionate about what they do, from the outset thinking outside the box.
We now have an opportunity for a skilled CAD / Design Technician to join our creative team at our head office in Wellingborough and to work closely with our 3D designers using our unique modular system to take concepts forward to production ready CAD drawings.
CAD / Design Technician responsibilities:
Working on a wide range of exhibition projects you will produce or change detailed drawings so they can be more easily followed or, using experience and skills, further develop a design. You will have an accurate and thorough approach with good spatial skills and ideally knowledge of Vectorworks on a Macintosh platform, together with Artlantis rendering packages.
The ideal CAD / Design Technician:
In order to be successful for this role, previous knowledge of the exhibition industry would be desirable, plus experience in using and interacting with management information systems.
We are looking for a natural communicator – both face to face and through design presentation skills, with strong commercial instincts to ensure that we get the most profitable yet cost effective solution for our clients.
We would consider training to suit our customised applications, but a high level of CAD skill is essential.
In return we can offer a basic starting salary of £20,000 and benefits including: Pension with employer contribution pension, Health Care scheme and Death in Service.
