Transport Team Leader

This company is one of the market leaders in linen and garment rental and the company supply textiles to England and Scotland's top hotels and businesses. Established more than 100 years ago, their successful company employs over 800 staff at their six modern automated production plants in Cupar, Livingston, Perth, Coatbridge & Newcastle.

An exciting opportunity to join their transport department at their plant in Coatbridge.

The Transport Team Leader will effectively manage all aspects of distribution and collection of goods associated with the site within agreed costs, to meet operational, legal and customer requirements. This will involve but is not limited to the following points.

- Arrange vehicle and driver resources to achieve efficient collection and distribution of goods. Continuously liaise with production, service and plant administrator to assist in improving overall plant performance. Plan routes / deliveries and collections as stock level dictate.
- Cover driver holidays / absence where required by the Transport Manager.
- Special deliveries/collections as required within working hours.
- Work with the Transport Manager to ensure the distribution operation is run in accordance with the Company's Operators Licence.

Applicants should have a class 2 licence, digital tachograph card and full driver CPC.

Hours of work are 4 days over 7, with every 2nd weekend off. Guaranteed 46 hours paid per week. £10.88 per hour. Paid weekly.
