Database & Systems Developer

We are seeking to appoint a recent graduate with an IT/Computer Science related degree to join our IT team. The successful candidate will work alongside our existing Database and Systems Developer on a number of projects including: SharePoint (2013) development, migrating academic departments from our SharePoint (2010) platform, and looking at ways of developing digital solutions to increase the automation of business processes and improve efficiency wherever possible. In addition, this role will take on specific projects from the initial concept through to delivering to end users. 

The IT department is led by the IT Director and is supported by a Network Manager, two Senior Technicians, a Database and Systems Developer and an IT Technician.

The Perse network serves approximately 900 Windows computers and a significant number of wireless devices, running on a fully virtualised network consisting of approximately 40 servers. The School uses a number of education specific applications along with industry standard applications such as VMWare, Exchange, SharePoint and SQL Server.
