Sales Administrator, German Speaker Sheffield Circa GBP20,000 plus benefits This organisation is a well-established and well run specialist manufacturing business that supplies components into the global agricultural market. We are seeking candidates that offer fluent German, any other language skills are an advantage but not a requirement. Main Purpose: To provide administrative support to the sales team, and to liaise with UK and Export customers particularly in German speaking countries. Checking and entering of incoming sales orders, liaising with customers in terms of their requirements and delivery requests. The role is office based but may involve some overseas travel and attendance at trade fairs, both as visitor and exhibitor. Key Responsibilities: 1. In conjunction with the Customer Services Manager, to manage and maintain existing customers towards the achievement of individual and overall turnover and margin targets, with a particular emphasis on looking after customers in German-speaking countries. 2. Undertake all required sales office administration activity e.g.: a. Order processing and progressing b. Interpreting and detailing customer specifications c. Progressing / completing enquiries towards costing d. Issuing quotations against agreed timescales e. Agreeing final product specifications with customers f. Receiving / recording signed approved drawings from customers g. Issuing / releasing 'New Product Information Forms' for manufacture of tooling and parts. 3. Assist with marketing initiatives such as, but not limited to, the preparation of company brochures and leaflets and the organisation of exhibition stands at trade fairs. 4. Handle / assist with complaints in accordance with Company policy so as to ensure a fair settlement is achieved as quickly as possible. 5. Portray a positive and prestigious Company image at all times and act in a business-like and professional manner. 6. Adhere to Company Health and Safety policy and procedure at all times. 7. Identify and propose personal training requirements, as required, so as to ensure and enhance achievement of job role. 8. To attend and support at German trade shows by manning the exhibition stand and dealing with enquiries and customers as the need arises. 9. Perform any other duties which may reasonably be associated with the job role to meet the needs of the business.
