An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inspection Team Leader to join Corin based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

As an Inspection Team Leader your duties and responsibilities will be

  • Supervise Inspection team, comprising of both Inspectors and Senior Inspectors
  • Monitor and report on throughput through department, in line with set targets
  • First point of contact for Inspection related queries / requests
  • Review resource requirements within department and communicate
  • Make informed decisions on acceptance on a day to day basis, within the department. Communications to Final Finishing Production Manager as appropriate.
  • Disseminate information within Inspection Team on a regular basis
  • Review and authorise production returns to Manufacture / Production Control for rework / scrap
  • Deputise for the Final Finishing Production Manager as weekly Production Meeting as required
  • Deputise for Final Finishing Production Manager at Drawing Sign-off Meetings as required
  • Initiate improvements / amendments to documentation used within department as required
  • Review and identify needs of Inspection department with regards to metrology and gauging
  • Assist in the integration of Inspection into the manufacturing process
  • Undertake other related duties as required

An ideal Inspection Team Leader will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Will have Mechanical Engineering background
  • Will be familiar with inspection techniques and have experience in a wide range of measurement equipment and its application
  • Able to make quick informed decisions
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of engineering drawings and their interpretation with regards to appropriate inspection methods
