Mae Ymgynghorwyr Busnes yn ffurfio elfen allweddol o’r maes arbenigol hwn o wasanaeth Busnes Cymru sy'n darparu cymorth busnes o'r radd flaenaf i fentrau bach a chanolig yng Nghymru ar ran Llywodraeth Cymru, fe’i ariennir gan Gronfa Datblygu Rhanbarthol Ewrop ac mae’n cael ei ddarparu  gan Bartneriaeth Twf Cymru (PTC), partneriaeth o Busnes Mewn Ffocws, Antur Teifi a Peninsula Enterprise (PE).

Bydd Ymgynghorwyr Busnes yn gweithio gyda busnesau "Twf" i’w cynorthwyo yn eu datblygiad i oresgyn rhwystrau penodol y maent yn eu profi naill ai fel rhai sy’n cychwyn o’r newydd neu os ydynt eisoes yn masnachu. Mae'n hanfodol i'r ymgeisydd llwyddiannus feddu ar wybodaeth am gynlluniau busnes cymhleth, wedi rhedeg eu busnes eu hunain neu wedi rheoli ar lefel uwch. Bydd Ymgynghorwyr Busnes yn gweithio'n uniongyrchol gyda chleientiaid ar sail un i un i adnabod materion allweddol y gallant helpu'r cleient gyda naill ai'n uniongyrchol neu drwy gefnogaeth eu rhwydweithiau preifat a chyhoeddus.

Rhai o’r nodweddion allweddol fydd gan yr Ymgynghorydd Busnes yw:

- Y gallu i ddefnyddio profiad a gwybodaeth i adnabod rhwystrau i dwf

- Medru cyflwyno neu gynorthwyo mewn gweithdai a seminarau a fydd yn cynorthwyo busnesau twf i ddatblygu eu gwybodaeth a'u sgiliau.

- Cynllunio cefnogaeth penodol ar gyfer cleientiaid mewn modd amserol a pherthnasol
- Gallu cryf i ddylanwadu a rhyngweithio'n effeithiol â phobl ar bob lefel

Location: Pencoed, Bridgend

Area covered: South West Wales (Including Capital RCT, Merthyr Tydfil, Blaenau Gwent)

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum

Hours: full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Business Advisers form key elements for Business Wales service that provides first class business support to Welsh SMEs on behalf of the Welsh Government, funded by the European Regional Development Fund and delivered by Growth Partnership Wales (GPW), a partnership of Business in Focus, Antur Teifi and Peninsula Enterprise (PE).

Business Advisers will work with “Micro” businesses to assist in their development to overcome specific barriers they are experiencing either as “Start ups” or if they are already trading. It is essential for the successful candidate to have knowledge of moderately complex business plans, have run their own business or managed at a senior level. Business Advisers will work with clients to support them with agreed key issue that they can assist the client with either directly or through support of their private and public networks. This will be done  on the telephone, on-line  and via email with some 1-2-1 meetings for “Micro” businesses

Some of the key attributes that the Business Adviser will possess are:

- Ability to utilize experience and knowledge to identify opportunities to growth
- Can deliver or assist in workshops and seminars that will assist businesses develop their knowledge and skills
- Project plan specific support for clients in a timely and relevant manner
- Strong ability to interact effectively with people at all levels
