Responsibilities:
- Providing first and second line IT support to all users (supporting multiple offices)
- Accurately logging and responding to support calls using the IT helpdesk system
- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues across a range of software applications, escalating to the IT Manager where necessary
- Ongoing management and adherence to PC and hardware support procedures
- Ongoing management of all systems documentation
- Installing and configuring new equipment
- Resolving incidents with printers, copiers and scanners (across multiple offices)
- Carry out maintenance and administration on the Company's systems, including new installations or upgrades
- Liaise with multiple HW/SW/Telephony suppliers to ensure the smooth installation and running of systems
- Assisting the IT Manager with ad hoc projects office moves and operational duties (out of hours work will be required from time to time)
Required Skills and Experience:
- 1-2 years IT support experience (preferably within Financial Services)
- Experience supporting a Microsoft desktop and server environment
- Experience in management of Windows 7 up to 2012 R2 and Office 2010 at a proficient level
- Experience using Active Directory for user administration tasks
- Experience supporting Windows 7/8
- Basic understanding of WAN/LAN management concepts
- Security oriented with a proactive approach
Desirable:
- Degree / Graduate - 2.1 or above - in any Computer Science related subject
- Experience supporting Mac OS
- Telephony experience
- Linux experience
Additional Skills and Experience:
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels
- Ability to adapt and good problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise conflicting demands
- Passion for technology and motivated to learn new skills/systems
