Project Assistant

Our client, an Engineering company based in Gloucester, is looking for a Project Assistant to join their team on a contract to cover Maternity.This is a great opportunity to gain experience both in an engineering and project environment, and could suit a Graduate or someone looking for their first role in either discipline.The company offer a friendly, team working environment and the successful candidate will be given full training within the role. The projects, all engineering based, are interesting and varied and the company are industry leaders in their engineering solutions.Essential qualities / skills the client look for are:-* Enthusiasm and the motivation to learn and develop. * Good communication skills.* Customer focus and the desire to deliver projects on time. * Ability to work as part of a team, sometimes under pressure. * Good PC skills, particularly Word and Excel. * Good, accurate data entry / keyboard skills. * Excellent timekeeperDesirable qualities / skills the client look for:-* An interest in engineering (mechanical). * Previous experience / education in engineering or design. * Previous experience with design software such as CAD. * Ability to speak / understand German.Acorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
