This leading Nationwide provider of case management and rehabilitation services are looking for an enthusiastic experienced *Female Carer / Support Worker / Special Needs Nanny to join a team providing care to their client, a delightful 13 year old girl with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. She lives at home with her parents in Fareham and attends a specialist school in Alton. She already has a comprehensive team of carers and always has 2 people with her in case of seizures.

Role Overview
The Carer/Support Worker will provide assistance to our client's parents with the care of their daughter and support them with every day family life. She will require help with all activities of daily living and will also require help to enable her to access play, learning and social activities.

Role Attributes
- *Female due to personal care tasks
- Experience of working with young people with special needs essential.
- Good communication skills, initiative, tact and diplomacy are all required.
- Being able to be proactive, encouraging, creative and having a good sense of humour are all important.
- The ability to support our client at arm's length to encourage her to use her skills as much as she can rather than step in automatically to do things for her is essential.
- A full driving licence (endorsements to be disclosed) and willing to drive the client's wheelchair adapted vehicle is essential.
- Qualified in Child Care or working towards a qualification
- A qualified First Aider (training can be provided)
- Qualified in Epilepsy Seizure Management (training can be provided)
- Would suit nursing student or newly qualified nurse

Hours
Bank hours available to cover days, nights and weekends.

Remuneration
£9.41 - £15.71 per hour depending on experience and working shift. Holiday pay, free DBS check and on-going training and support.
