Our client is a global leader in metal recycling employing 4500 staff across 170 locations around the world. Their recycling process begins with the collection of scrap metal from businesses, manufacturers, construction sites, government bodies and the general public. 

Our client’s depot and operational teams are instrumental to the company’s success; as they are the first stage in the process and receive delivery of a wide range of metals and materials. Their daily activities are supported by our client’s advanced systems which ensure accurate tracking and security for all materials.

Weighbridge Administrator
As a Weighbridge Administrator, you will be well versed in administration and comfortable managing relations with the general public as well as long standing clients. 

The ability to accurately administrate, record and organise vehicles entering/exiting the company’s busy depot is pivotal to the success of the role. 

As a Weighbridge Administrator you will need to have a great eye for detail as you’ll take responsibility for weighing the load of vehicles and recording data accurately. There will also be the need to conduct financial transactions utilising the in-house system to check pricing, stock and commercial agreements.

The Person 
The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal. This is a ‘Front of House’ role that requires the ability to build effective relationships and manage customer expectations. 

Our client is keen to recruit a candidate with an outgoing personality, who is hands on and happy to get involved in a broad range of activities. Organisation and accuracy are must-have traits for this role in order to document processes effectively. 

No formal experience is necessary, as full training will be provided, however, a reasonable standard of education will be required, and preferably some relevant working experience in a similar type of busy office environment, such as waste recycling or haulage.

It is essential that all Operations staff are safety conscious and have a good appreciation/awareness of the unique working environment. Applicants should be organised, motivated individuals who can work to deadlines and be prepared to adapt according to business priorities on their particular site.

Please note, this role will require working alternate Saturday Mornings.

Working Hours: 6am – 3:15pm, Mon-Friday
Alternate Saturdays: 6am – 11:30am
