School ICT Technician - Term Time Only

Robin and Martin Ltd. are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and proactive individual who will be required to assist with first line on site technical support and advice within primary schools.

Duties will include general ICT and AV troubleshooting, hardware and software installation, maintenance, general ICT administration tasks and procurement advice.

You will also be expected to liaise with company selected third party contractors and suppliers in order to secure best value products for your schools.

The job entails working without day-to-day supervision and to ensure a high quality service is delivered to our schools at all times. It is important you maintain our company’s high standards and be an effective communicator with both staff members and most importantly our customers.

The ability to work with and around young people in a primary school environment and to play an active role in improving the teaching and learning in schools is essential.

The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, we expect all staff to share this commitment. Any offer of a job will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure and two references being obtained by the company.

The successful applicant will be required to visit several sites on a weekly basis, must have use of a vehicle and possess a full clean driving licence. A mileage allowance will be paid to cover motoring costs.

School ICT Technician - Skills Required:

• You will need to demonstrate an understanding in most of the following;
• Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems.
• Apple client and server operating systems.
• Apple client and server operating systems.
• Good basic network skills.
• Managed network print solutions.
• Enterprise wireless networks.
• Mass deployment and management of mobile technology.
• A good knowledge of cloud based services.
• Web design and basic programming skills.
• IWBs, projector servicing, sound and vision systems.
• Interest in emerging technologies and pushing the boundaries.
• An understanding of how technology is used in a teaching and learning environment.

The annual salary is £21-£23k per year. The position is term time only for the 39 week school year. Annual leave must be taken during school holidays.
