Job Role:

Our Client is looking for a dynamic and focussed individual, who has the experience and drive to deliver Employment and Training services in targeted coalfield communities. The post is funded until March 31st 2019 will work in a team focusing on small areas where regeneration interventions are in place to tackle locally based issues. These areas are called 'Communities that Work'.

The Community Employment and Enterprise Coach (CE&EC) will play a pivotal role in the delivery of Employment Services for the Trust as part of the 'Communities that Work' Programme'. The service is aimed at supporting unemployed people from deprived coalfield communities to develop skills and find more secure sustainable employment. The service is delivered in a flexible way through 'personal one to one' appointments or in group sessions.

The post holder will identify volunteering opportunities for customers and work with employers to negotiate work placements. The role is very much focused on tailored support and reliant on the post holder to motivate others and teach them skills to be self-sufficient when looking at securing a job.

You will have excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work closely with people from a range of backgrounds to enthuse, motivate and inspire others.

The role will be varied and challenging, therefore you must have the ability to work on your own initiative and have the ability to prioritise your work.

However, they are far more than a grant maker and they are increasingly taking a pro-active approach to developing and investing in strategic programmes to address regeneration issues.
