Our client is well established within the construction, environmental and waste management sectors and operates through five main subsidiaries. Their activities span construction, land reclamation, public realm and environmental works, developments, and plant hire, service and repair.

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an Accounts Administrator to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting to the Group Accountant / the Finance Director, although the successful applicant will be part of a Finance team of 10, the successful applicant must be capable of working both as part of that team and also independently.

Within this role, your principal areas of responsibility will be maintaining Cashbooks, Sales ledger and Credit control.  Working across the range of Group companies, this role offers the opportunity to become involved in maintaining cashbooks on a daily basis, cashbook to bank and nominal reconciliations, raising invoices, cash allocation, dispute resolution and credit control. You will also provide weekly reports to the relevant directors.

The successful candidate is likely to be AAT qualified with previous experience of working in a similar role.  In the absence of a qualification, our client will be happy to consider candidates who are qualified by experience. 

With excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work, you must be comfortable discussing issues with staff / customers at all levels in an appropriate manner. 

Our client uses a Microsoft AX based accounting system as well as Microsoft Office products, therefore you should be competent in using these.

Due to our client’s location, it would be advisable that the successful candidate has access to a car or lives locally.

Hours:  9:00am - 5:30pm, with 1 hour for lunch. (currently finishing at 3:30 on a Friday)
