Maintenance Fitter
Rockwool are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team in Bridgend. This vacancy is permanent and offers a competitive salary and benefit package.
Key responsibilities:
- To install, maintain and upgrade a wide variety of mechanical equipment to ensure the Factory performs to optimum capacity and efficiency
- Can demonstrate proficiency in welding and fabricate work
- Can perform quality maintenance in all mechanical aspects from planned and unplanned situations
- To evaluate both mechanical and process issues and must be conversant with the principles of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems
- Be proactive in the use and development of any planned maintenance systems and be able to work from and understand mechanical drawings
- Works shifts when required either on a temporary or permanent basis. Work overtime as & when the Department workload dictates
- Comply with a safe method of working and report any potential unsafe practices or hazards, a relevant Safety qualification would be an advantage
- Adhere to relevant procedures to minimise the risk of fire
- Be proactive in highlighting any opportunities for process improvement
- Ensure that mechanical equipment within the job holder’s area of responsibility performs to targeted levels of reliability
- To actively engage in the LEAN Factory Culture and contribute to the continued success of this initiative
