Shift Production Manager offering a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 plus bonus (after qualifying period) based in Huddersfield (HD2).

Dual Seal Glass is one of the UK’s leading independent processors of High Performance Vision and Insulated Spandrel Glass Panels for the construction industry.

Operating from our Huddersfield base, our product ranges are widely accredited in the commercial sector.

As a result of continuing growth and ambitious plans, we are currently looking to strengthen our operations team with the appointment of a Shift Production Manager.

Ideally but not essentially with experience in glass and/or double glazed unit manufacture, the successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for overseeing production personnel in a wide range of activities across a multi-operational, 24 hour site.

You will be tasked with driving efficiencies and identifying areas for improvement across the site. You will also be responsible for coaching and developing staff on site

Also, responsible for departmental budgetary compliance, we are looking for a practiced manufacturing professional with good communication and motivational skills, who relishes a hands-on challenge and leads by example.

 

Shift Production Manager - Main Responsibilities:

  • To manage personnel and resources to achieve daily production targets
  • Meet cost, productivity, quality and customer service targets within agreed budget
  • Supervise, coach, mentor and appraise production staff
  • Carry out training needs analysis to maintain a fully trained and flexible team to meet production requirements
  • Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Comply with company and regulatory H&S and ISO requirements

 

The ideal Shift Production Manager:

  • Proven working experience in production management
  • Demonstrable ability to lead, manage and motivate staff
  • Proficient in IT and standard Office software
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple issues
