Senior Designer / Graphic Designer / Website Designer / UI Designer / UX Designer / Digital Designer. Salary of circa £30k per annum + benefits. Based in Knutsford, commutable from Warrington, Altrincham, Sale, Cheadle, Stockport, Wilmslow, Northwich, Winsford, Middlewich, Macclesfield, Chester etc.

We’re looking for an experienced senior designer to join our energetic, motivated and passionate team. You will thrive in a varied and exciting role working across all aspects of creative design, supporting clients ranging from household brands to smaller niche organisations.

About the role:

Reporting directly to the Creative Director, you will work as part of the creative team and you’ll be responsible for delivering a varied mix of creative projects from conception to completion:

Your experience / knowledge should include:

  • A great all rounder and a truly conceptual thinker

  • Every day is different at Ultimate, you will work on a variety of client briefs ranging across all aspects of creative design

  • You must have a real passion for digital design and strong understanding of the principles behind UI/UX

  • You will work on client pitches, applying practical creative ideas to exceed a client’s requirements

  • Attend internal and external meetings to present concepts or take briefs from clients

  • Effectively collaborate with the in-house Digital department in order to produce the very best digital outcomes

  • Be comfortable working directly with clients, either on site or at a clients own premises

  • Maintain an awareness of the industry to keep your style up-to-date and relevant

  • Play a major role contributing to the progression, adaptability and success of the business

  • To be considered for this senior designer vacancy, you will have the following experience knowledge, skills and attributes;

  • At least 3 years proven agency experience, with a portfolio of work that demonstrates the mix of creative, digital design and projects that shows a sound understanding of UI/UX

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign

  • Real enthusiasm and passion for both creative and digital design and delivering outstanding results for clients

  • Possess the ability to take and interpret and challenge a brief

  • Firm understanding of technical / design requirements for press, print and digital applications

  • A talent for copy writing and creating messaging to support campaigns and branding projects

  • Have strong communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and adapt according to priorities

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
