£10.00-10.50 per hour + discretionary bonus
Our client is a food supplier and retailer based in Cheshire seeking a Chef to join their café team.
The successful candidate will be working directly with the management team to ensure the café operates smoothly and ensuring to upkeep the fresh, high quality of our menu and all produce that leaves our kitchen.
Position Summary
As a Chef, your duties will include:
• Preparation, cooking and service of food to a high standard.
• You will be using our quality, fresh ingredients and should take pride in the presentation of meals and products.
• Planning our simple but very high standard menu and developing new products
• To ensure the café, its equipment and produce adhere to appropriate clean and hygienic standards
• To maintain all appropriate administrative records including temperature monitoring and cleaning schedules.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have the required skills and qualifications to undertake this role including:
• City and Guilds 706/1/2, or equivalent
• Previous proven experience of preparing and presenting food to a high standard
• Working knowledge of stock ordering and control of wastage
• Good communication skills and organisational ability
• Be flexible with working hours
