Technical Sales Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer with experience of Servers, Networking and Microsoft cloud solutions in an MSP/IT Support Role. You will be entrepreneurial and able to spot opportunities and assist Sales with solutions and customer development.

You will demonstrate a strong Microsoft server background (ideally including SBS) with good skills in networking, domains, e-mail and virtualization. Be experienced in migrations to cloud services, internet connectivity and network security. It is essential that you can take responsibility for large projects through to completion.

You will also be seen as an authority and expert in Microsoft Solutions and PC/Server hardware and be willing to assist other team members with resolving tickets for our clients.

You will be dealing with owner managers and senior decision makers, be able to communicate clearly, empathize and explain the business benefits of solutions and services. Your relationships with clients will directly affect their and your own success.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Design and implementation of small business networks including switches, routers, firewalls and security.
- Design and implement hosted and cloud solutions.
- Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Office 365, virtualization technologies: VMware and Microsoft Hyper V.
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge of the service offerings of the company.
- Interpret customer requirements.
- Provide technical specifications for a quote and accompanying materials.
- Continuous improvement of our sales and support systems.

This is an office based role that will include travel within East Anglia to client sites and some planned out of hours and emergency cover.

Salary: £30k - £40k per year
