My client is a leading designer of consumer goods, with a portfolio of well-recognised brands, both licensed and owned outright.
THE ROLE
My client is recruiting for a Marketing and PR Professional to join their team. They are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Commercial Marketing Executive / Manager with a broad experience marketing background to ensure all our marketing and PR efforts are aligned with our rapidly changing long term business strategy. This role encompasses all the stages of Marketing and PR and focuses specifically on trade consumer engagement including key retailers
Responsibilities:
Marketing
Work closely with our licensed brand partners and trade customers to align and deliver focused marketing & PR plans around major and high profile product launches.
Develop the seasonal marketing plans per brand to agreed objectives
Organise and attend all Marketing and PR mtgs with our licensed partners and trade customers. You'll exercise excellent follow up and demonstrate outstanding customer service, networking ability and relationship building.
Identify, plan and develop promotional activities, working closely with sales, operations and finance to ensure the promos are successful and deliver real tangible value to the bottom line
Work closely with the designers to help define the marketing story / USP from feature overview to functional specifications to present to the sales team
Responsible for effective spend across marketing and PR
Write compelling marketing messages that are 'on brand' and in line with brand license guidelines
Proactively create, plan and implement trade marketing campaigns across email, social and print
Manage the production of trade marketing materials (POS) and sales marketing materials to support the seasonal product launches
Prepare for and attend all our international trade show exhibitions, ensuring a full diary meeting Industry PR and customer marketing contacts
Support the creative heads and commercial director in special projects and new business pitches
Market research
PR
Develop PR campaigns tied in with brand partners and trade customers to support product launches
Attend all PR launches as required, and be 'the voice' for our company and products
Produce well written copy in the brand voice and successfully develop & promote seasonal trade press releases
Build strong links with press contacts and creatively secure press coverage at no fee
Raise awareness of the brand corporate profile, publicising our award wins, business successes and improving our web content.
Day to day maintaining and development of our social media accounts with the help of our Marketing Assistant
SKILLS
- Excellent account management skills, you'll be well liked by our customers and known for your 'can do' attitude
- A networker who happy to travel and actively seeks out networking / relationship building opportunities within our industry & customer base
- Commercially minded, highly capable and a creative thinker
- Your ideas and execution increase sales in a meaningful way
- Excellent communicator - written and presentation skills
- You'll Initiate, 'own it' and be a self starter
- Excellent project management skills
EXPERIENCE
- 5 years + minimum experience in a Product Marketing and PR role within fashion / retail / brand or licensing absolutely essential
- Degree level educated with a professional marketing qualification preferred
- Full clean license holder, car owner
Based in Bath UK and regular UK and International travel and event attendance required
