Senior Network Engineer/Architect, Ethernet, Telecoms, Mobile, Fibre

Leading Telecoms client requires a Senior Network Engineer with some hands-on Architecture exposure and telecoms background to join a growing dynamic team based in Warrington.

The company delivers fibre infrastructure across the UK.

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of the active service portfolio, encompassing skills that include system & network administration, as well as strong project management.

Key responsibilities include:

*Establishing a networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
*Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation.
*Managing the underlying resources of the active network, e.g. IP addressing, backhaul capacity, access network scaling.
*Support the Operations group undertaking data network fault investigations in MAN & WAN

To be considered for this role you will be a strong Network Engineer with some Architecture exposure, who has worked with a broad range of vendors (essential) It is also essential you have worked for a telecoms provider and have skills in Ethernet Core and Edge.

You will also have the following skills and experience:

*Ability to design and build new active networks.
*Improve network monitoring and operational excellence.
*Network implementation experience in 3rd party colocation facilities.
*Act as Point of escalation for network issues from Tier2 Noc.
*Multi-layer problem solving in a dynamic environment.
*LAN/MAN IP and Layer 2 network design (Desirable).
MAN DWDM network design and implementation (Desirable).
