Fitter / Electrician - 2 Year Fixed Term Contract - Bristol Depot

Arriva TrainCare are currently seeking an experienced Fitter / Electrician for our Barton Hill depot in Bristol . We are a successful, rapidly evolving organisation with a strong order book for 2017 and beyond.
The Fitter / Electrician role and purpose:
You will work as part of a small heavy maintenance team, delivering high quality, high value rail vehicle refurbishment projects. In the role you will be expected to work in accordance with our customer's maintenance and overhaul instructions and company procedures and processes. You will also play an active part in continuously improving product quality.
Essential experience as our Fitter / Electrician:
You will be a skilled individual who has served a recognised apprenticeship and ideally, has relevant current rail industry - rolling stock - experience. As well as:
- Prior knowledge and experience of rail vehicle heavy maintenance / overhaul activities and depot operations.
- Good educational standard (BTEC or C&G in Engineering) with very good mechanical / electrical engineering knowledge.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings.
- Awareness of health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Understanding of production efficiency techniques.
- Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07.00 - 15.30 hrs
