Financial Controller

Our client is a fast paced central London based professional facilities and maintenance company in the luxury retail sector. They are currently looking for a Financial Controller to help shape their future growth and manage the billing for their national service. You will report to the directors and manage a small team running the day to day financial management of their dynamic and passionate company.

-Managing day to day financial control of the business with a small team.
-Monthly management accounts, profit & loss analysis and margin analysis. WIP.
-Ensuring robust and effective financial controls are maintained.
-Calculating corporation tax with our accountants.
-Submitting VAT returns.
-Sage Excel expertise and experience is vital. Database experience welcomed.
- Flexible and responsive to the business needs.
- Having a key role in the growth of the wider business.
- Liaise with HRMC to ensure compliance.
- Work efficiently and calmly to tight deadlines.
- Liaise with HMRC to ensure compliance.
- Working with our external accountants to produce annual reports.

The successful applicant will have full accounting qualifications (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) and will have ideally worked in financial control for the construction or facilities service industry previously. A hands-on approach showing commercial aptitude is needed. The ability to multi-task and show energy and motivation will be helpful. Good communication ability with excellent written and financial software skills required.
