Our client is a major building contractor with a regional base in Bridgwater, servicing the South West region. Being a national business, they carry out a diverse range of major building schemes typically up to ??200 million in value.
Due to ongoing growth and an influx of prestigious projects they have approached us with the requirement to recruit an experienced Planner to take up the role of Planning Manager within the business.
In a broader sense, your role will involve managing a planning team whilst having overall responsibility for the delivery of all planning issues in regards to a ??100 million build scheme locally. Specific roles and responsibilities may include:
Taking responsibility for creating the detailed construction programme for the project.
Using Primavera Software to prepare construction programmes.
Having management responsibility for a team of 3-4 planners.
Reporting to the Project Director on all issues,
This role would suit a Planning Manager or senior planner, from a recognised main contractor who is looking to join a market leading, major contractor that can offer long term prospects initially working on a very prestigious scheme.
Ideally you will have experience of P6 software, although this is by no means essential. The role is permanently based in Bridgwater, so you will reside within commutable distance or be open to relocation.
