Carers Trust Heart of England (formerly Crossroads Care & Coventry Carers’ Centre) are very pleased to have staff vacancies due to new funding and continuation of contracts.

We aim to improve the lives of family carers by providing information, advice and support to meet their individual needs.  Family carers are people who look after relatives, friends or neighbours who cannot manage alone due to illness, disability, old age, mental health needs, substance dependency or disability.

We are pleased to be working in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support to recruit the post of Macmillan Cancer Carer Support Worker to identify ‘hidden’ family carers of people living with cancer, provide individualised support, assess their needs and ensure these are met.

37 hours per week         

Salary £21,067 per annum

Secured funding for 3 years

CARE SUPPORT WORKERS

Managed from our Head office at 6 Queen Victoria Road Care Support Workers are required to provide practical services in the Coventry, Nuneaton and Bedworth areas. Applicants must have a full licence and their own transport

• Pay rates from £7.92 with enhanced weekend and Bank holiday rates up to £9.40
•  Generous paid travel allowance and mileage
• Paid training induction package
• 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) and paid company sick leave
• Immediate training and start
• Full time, part time, evenings and weekends

Staff support people with daily living tasks in their own homes, provide befriending services, assist people recovering from an illness or after hospital discharge, offer shopping and domestic support and enable family carers to have some much needed respite time.  

WE ALSO REQUIRE CARE SUPPORT STAFF IN THE RUGBY AREA

Successful applicants can join a set induction commencing on the 13^th February 2017/13^th March 2017 or we can arrange to start an induction to meet a requested start date.
