This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the one of the largest International Movers in Europe.
The Company:
With over 30 years experience our Client is the UK market leaders in international removals with over 20,000 annual shipments of household and personal effects to worldwide destinations.
The role:
Due to business expansion our client requires a Trainee Freight Forwarding Operator to join our client’s Operative Hub in Stretford.
The successful candidate will be required to handle Sea/ Air/ Road freight shipments. You will be responsible for quoting customers, and making bookings, liaising with Shipping Lines, arranging collections and deliveries, processing Shipping Documentation, completing Customs Entries & Clearances, billing out and invoicing. You will need to manage customer expectations, resolving any issues and answering queries is a professional and polite manner. Your will be dealing with many different countries, ports and airports and of course customers in this exciting and often fast moving environment.
The Right Candidate:
As this is a trainee role, then no previous office experience is necessary. However, you must have a desire to provide good customer service.
This is an office based role so computer literacy in MS Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
All support and training will be given with this as it is a niche skill. This is a varied and exciting role in which each day is different. You will need to have the ability to react quickly and work independently and as a team.
As this is international an extra language would be an advantage, but not essential.
