Salary: £26,000-£34,000 dependent on experience

Hours: Permanent, Full Time

The company is a small, yet rapidly growing private company working in the field of international education. Producing a range of marketing materials and websites aimed at international students.

The company is currently looking for an enthusiastic, organised and analytical Web Developer to join their in-house team. The ideal candidate must be equally comfortable with either front or back-end development. The candidate will also be responsible for delegating projects, and ensuring projects meet deadlines. You will be developing new and existing projects, fixing critical bugs and enhancing the core framework with improved interactions and SEO amends.

The company is looking for someone who's aspirational. The company want people who take pride in their work.

Experience is essential, but it's a natural talent with the spark and the hunger to develop and learn that we are really looking for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing HTML5 brochures with the company's in-house Javascript framework
  • Enhancing the company's Javascript framework
  • Submitting (Cordova) apps to the iOS/Google Play stores
  • Overseeing projects and reporting progress to the MD
  • Delegating and organising technical projects
  • Extending functionality on the company's flagship site - currently in beta - built with Laravel
  • Creating detailed, rigid schedules of potential new builds
  • Bring new ideas to the table to help stay at the top of the education sector
  • In-house housekeeping, including phone systems and computers.

Requirements:

  • Excellent HTML, CSS, jQuery and MySQL skills
  • PHP is a must
  • Experience with Content Management Systems
  • Experience with Bootstrap
  • A 'hands on' approach to testing and tasks
  • Consistent use of Git
  • Experience of NPM/Node.js
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Must be highly organised, with the ability to implement rigid technical processes
  • Good time keeper
  • Great at communicating with a range of teams and staff members (you've got to be a fluent English speaker)
