IRS Engineer
Oxford, OX33
£20k Basic OTE £30k-£35k
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an IRS Service Engineer to work for an expanding digital communications company in the Midlands with national travel.
The standard hours are 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Friday. Over time is paid for any hours over 7.5 per day at normal time – time and a half for Saturday work and time x 2 for Sunday working.
Key Requirements:
• Knowledge and experience of IRS, SMATV and MATV
• A City & Guilds Design and Installation of SMATV qualification would be desirable
• Experience in VSAT, IPTV & Fibre systems would also be an advantage
• A full driving licence is essential
• Health & Safety knowledge – full training provided
• Working at heights is a necessity, and as such candidates who hold a working at heights certificate would have an advantage, but full training will be given
The Role
Reporting to the Field Service Manager, the IRS Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of IRS/SMATV and MATV systems. Our client’s customer base consists of BT, Vodafone, Travelodge and other major hotel chains along with various social housing associations nationally. Your daily duties and responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring that all allocated jobs are accomplished on time and in a cost effective manner
• Ensuring that Company Quality and Health & Safety standards are met and maintained at all times
• Dissemination of information to ensure that all direct report staff are aware of job requirements
• Managing direct reporting staff
• Ensuring that your immediate Line Manager is kept aware of any pertinent developments in your region e.g. competitor and customer activity

• £20,000 p.a. basic + overtime with a realistic OTE of up to £35,000
