Media Scotland has a newly created opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to join their busy Marketing Department. This role will work across all brands and platforms.

We are looking for a marketing professional with previous marketing experience or marketing or business related qualification. Working with the Senior Marketing Executives in all departments, you must be an effective team player and communicator. We are looking for someone who can use their own initiative and take the lead when required. Attention to detail is essential as well as the ability to manage your own time. Having a creative and open mind is a definite plus in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing newspaper sales driving promotions for the 17 regional weekly titles.
• Copywriting for sales promotions, competitions and marketing materials.
• Proof checking.
• Liaising with clients and agencies.
• Assistant on the planning and execution of media partnerships which includes working closely with commercial and editorial teams.
• Commercial marketing - promoting commercial products e.g. supplements, self serve.
• Using our ad booking and trafficking systems.
• Planning and executing digital marketing campaigns.
• Idea generation for marketing campaigns.
