Brilliant opportunity for a Hospitality Tutor has arisen covering the Blackpool area.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To instruct, assess and carry out other pedagogic activities which contribute towards high quality, effective and relevant learning experience that is appropriate to the needs of Individual students.
SALARY: GBP22,250 up to GBP26,000 (depending on experience) and caseload plus Bonus .
Home based with 30p per mile fuel claim and Westfield contributory health scheme. Other benefits include mobile phone, laptop. 28 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Slic Training (International) are seeking experienced Work Based Tutors to deliver Hospitality to a wide range of learners. Successful candidate will be able to deliver Professional Cookery and have an Assessors Qualification. To be able to deliver the qualifications at Levels 2 and 3.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: (may include)
-Provide learning support for students across a wide geographical area which will include overnight stays
-Deliver and assess relevant vocational courses in the workplace including preparation of lesson plans and learning materials.
-Follow Slic "your time your place" motto and be prepared to travel
-Establishing contacts and appropriate networking on work sites with relevant staff
-Supporting learners with additional learning support.
-Ensuring timely completion of learners.
-Engaging with learners as required by funding and contract.
-Completing all paperwork as required by contract, including attendance registers, progress reviews, ALS records, ILP's.
-Contributing to the effectiveness of teams.
-Participating in personal professional development following appraisal of individual needs.
-Meeting agreed targets.
-Undertake other tasks as assigned by the Chief Executive.
-Attend staff meetings and contract meetings as appropriate.
-Promote and Monitor Health and safety including safeguarding in all aspects of the role and record health and safety issues that may arise.
-Promote and monitor Equality and Diversity in all aspects of the role and record issues that may arise.
Required Qualifications:
-Level 2 Vocational Qualification
-Driving License
-Assessor Qualification
-Verifiers Qualification (Desirable)
-Teaching Qualification (desirable)
Required Experience
-Experience of working in their chosen vocational area.
-Previous experience of teaching/instructing. Including professional cookery
