Working within the kitchen and restaurant of our residential home (sheltered housing) for older people, the role involves a range of kitchen and front of house duties including:

??? Preparing and serving food and beverages to our residents, their families, other St Monica Trust employees and external visitors;
??? Preparing trays and trolleys for internal meetings and events;
??? Cleaning kitchen areas including ovens, fryers, hobs dishwashers;
??? Maintaining stock of dry goods;
??? Washing up cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils.

What we're looking for:
Previous experience of Food Hygiene, Catering and Health and Safety would be useful for this role however we do offer full training. Naturally we're looking for a person with exceptional customer service skills including the ability to interact and build a good rapport with residents and other customers. While it's not essential to have worked within a care setting, you will have an understanding of older people's needs. Alongside this you'll be able to demonstrate patience and flexibility.

This is a fast-paced environment - the restaurant and kitchens have very busy periods - as such the role needs someone who can use their initiative, work well in a team and be able to think on their feet.

If you are ready for this new challenge, we look forward to hearing from you.

You can find more details about the role and the person we are looking for, through the role profile, which is available on our website.
