Multi-Skilled Engineer

Our client is looking to recruit a Multi–Skilled Engineer to be based in Derbyshire, DE65 5PS.
 
The successful Multi-Skilled Engineer will have the responsibilities & experience: 

• Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that all on-site machinery and equipment is working safely and efficiently through the control of a documented PPM system.
• You will work closely with the production teams in order to provide an essential repair and maintenance service.
• Responding to breakdowns promptly and implementing any corrective actions with a proactive and reactive approach whilst complying with Health and Safety guidance and good manufacturing practices.
• You will also perform scheduled routine maintenance activities to ensure their equipment continues to run efficiently and effectively.

The Multi-Skilled Engineers’ Qualifications required: 

• You will hold a recognised qualification in Mechanical/Electrical disciplines, with a clear and logical approach to fault finding on a range of equipment.
• You will able to work on your own initiative alone and as part of a team, and will be a natural problem solver, driven to find fast, effective solutions and identify improvements. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will interact with a variety of colleagues at all levels, along with external contractors. 
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement techniques would be beneficial, as would FMCG experience.

In return you will receive a salary of £28,981.68k per annum plus £6 Shift Allowance. (Circ 35k pa)

The hours of work for this role are; Monday - Friday on a rotating shift pattern of 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00.
