A global engineering company that provides consulting, design, construction, and operations services for corporations requires a Compensation Lead to work on a contract basis.

Role:
The IP will build, own, and maintain the Thames Tideway Tunnel, and finance GBP2.8bn of the construction cost. The IP will be regulated by Ofwat and must deliver the project in a way that represents value to both TWUL customers as well as shareholders.

The role will work with the core Consent Team and the Delivery Teams in West/Central/East on the management and implementation of Trigger Action Plans, including non statutory compensation, noise and vibration. Consequently, there will be many interactions with third party stakeholders including local authorities and other statutory bodies

Responsibility:
Lead the implementation of the Trigger Action Plans, lead internal governance of issues arising as defined by APP210.01 Non statutory off site mitigation and compensation policy as submitted to the Planning Inspectorate
Representing the project at external meetings with third parties, provide explanations of the construction proposals, discuss potential noise affects and the implementation of TAPs & associated mitigation
Work with the delivery project managers and the Main Works Contractors to provide reports - progress and financial status against programme
Lead the input of third party consultants and technical specialists (and procurement of technical advice as needed), review associated reports and literature. Ensuring their deliverables are completed to programme budget and schedule
Developing and managing the programme, reviewing monthly reports/expenditure and reporting progress to senior management
Liaise with the Property Manager or equiv in respect of any compensation claims arising out of the Non Statutory policy within the Delivery areas to ensure the claims are managed through the Independent Compensation Panel as appropriate

Experience:
Developing and/ or implementing trigger action plans and other policies related to compensation issues as a result of infrastructure construction particularly underground
Investigating, monitoring and working with stakeholders(including local authorities) on noise and vibration and their mitigation
Delivering commercial solutions to issues
Working alone but as part of a wider team in a matrix environment

Education:
Bachelors degree in science or engineering or equivalent
EU resident or able to work in the EU
