Summary:
Purchase Ledger Assistant working in a team of 4 at Head Office. Entering invoices, preparing payment runs and helping solve exceptions working with suppliers and colleagues across the business.

Key areas:
* Matching and entry of invoices and credit notes onto the finance system
* Assisting with the preparation of payment runs
* Helping with the clearance and approval of invoices against purchase orders
* Reconciliation of supplier statements
* Supporting the Accounts team and Business Support staff with queries relating to invoices and purchase orders.
* Liaising with suppliers to build working relationships to help with the smooth operation of the purchase ledger
* Uploading purchase order data from the service system to the finance system
* Creating manual cheque payments for suppliers
* Sending weekly excel reports out to relevant departments in the business

Essential Requirements:
* Numerate with good attention to detail
* Works well within a team
* Knowledge of excel
* Confident dealing with people and queries
