Leakage Control Technicians (Up to £30,000 per annum) – Affinity Water Region

Our client is a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy, employing over 5,000 staff worldwide.

Our clients water business employs around 1000 staff and has been providing services to the water industry since 1993. Working on all of the UK water and sewerage companies and most of the water only companies, their services include water networks management; leakage consultancy; waste water network management; software solutions; utility, land and building surveying; design; water resources and efficiency advice; and flood risk and water environment consultancy.

They are looking for experienced individuals to join their award winning leakage detection team supporting Affinity Water in achieving their challenging leakage management objectives. The role is based in the Affinity Water Region and will involve working in various locations such as Woking, Rickmansworth, Amersham, Harlow and Luton.

As a Leakage Control Technician you will play a key role in detecting, locating and reporting both visible and hidden leaks from our client's distribution network using traditional and advanced techniques and equipment. Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work occasional night work.

Your next step on the career ladder will be Water Network Technician.

You should ideally have worked in a similar role in the past, although we also invite you to apply if you possess the following attributes:

  • Health and Safety awareness with the ability to understand and communicate safe working instructions

  • Computer literate with working knowledge of water industry software packages

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels inclusive of customers and external contractors

  • Working knowledge of leakage detection and prevention techniques

  • Excellent time management with ability to manage own workload

  • Ability to interpret data and communicate accordingly.

You should also ideally possess the following certification; although training will be available for the right candidates:

  • NRWSA Operative Unit 2

  • NRSWA Supervisor Units 1, 10 & 11

  • EUSR – Water Hygiene

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
