Are you a diligent production planner from a manufacturing background? Want to develop an engaging and rewarding career with a well-established family business? If so, our client would love to hear from you.

Serving a variety of sectors, our client is an award-winning provider of innovative packaging solutions. Planning and scheduling their operation is fundamental to their ongoing success and, as such, our client is now looking for a Production Planner to join them.

Joining a small, close-knit team, you’ll have the chance to work with leading blue chip confectionary brands and pay an integral role in enhancing our client’s production process.

As a Production Planner, you’ll ensure that our client’s orders are manufactured in a cost-effective manner, to quality specifications and in-line with customer order dates.

In this important position, you will:

- Liaise with the Sales Order Office to identify customer requirements
- Co-ordinate the required manufacturing equipment, raw materials and workforce
- Develop a robust production schedule
- Troubleshoot issues during the production process, such as staff shortages and machinery problems
- Monitor the cost of production and raw materials
- Collate and assess data regarding overall production performance
- Assist with the implementation of new production processes
- Preparing a range of reports

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you’ll need significant multi-year production planning experience, gained within a manufacturing environment. A resourceful and adaptable approach is also key.

As the Production Planner, you’ll be a passionate self-starter who works well, both on your own initiative and within a team. Detail-oriented and analytical, you’ll also have exceptional planning, prioritisation and time-management skills.

Previous packaging or print experience would be beneficial to your application, but this is by no means essential.
